A small, robust smoke generator whose physical size belies its power.

In its basic format, the Concept Colt has the ability to produce a considerable amount of smoke 'off power' using the retained energy within the high mass heat exchanger, allowing an operator to carry a generator from room to room, making smoke as required, without a trailing electrical lead.

In service with numerous fire authorities world-wide, many NATO forces (including the USN for shipboard training), as well as analytical laboratories, asbestos removal specialists, and HVAC contractors, the Concept Colt has an enviable reputation for simplicity of operation and reliability.

(The Concept Colt 4 variants are particularly suited to applications where extremely dense concentrations of smoke are required, or extremely large volumes need to be smoke logged. This is because of its very persistent nature). In this respect, the recently introduced Concept Colt 4 Turbo is one of the most powerful hand held generators on the market today.

The Spirit 900 is well suited to applications where continuous, high smoke output is required, since it utilises a modular peristaltic pump system rather than conventional, low cost piston pumps. Using an MOV protected solid state relay for heater switching at zero volts, and a plug in electronic module, the Spirit 900 does not compromise in the other key components used within the system.

The pump draws Smoke Fluid A (persistent) or Smoke Fluid B (quickly dispersing) from its integral 2 litre reservoir (or an external reservoir if specified), forcing it into Concept's unique precision machined heat exchanger, where it is vaporised. On exiting the heat exchanger, the vapour condenses to form dense, white, non toxic smoke, with an incredibly consistent, and small particle size of 0.2-0.3 micron mm.

The ViCount is probably the most effective fire training smoke system available today.

Depending on the grade of Smoke Oil selected, the smoke produced by the ViCount can persist to 180-200°C before layering commences, making the unit ideally suited to hot fire training applications.

However, even if training or smoke logging in unheated conditions, the smoke produced by the ViCount will out-perform all conventional water based alternatives, whilst dramatically reducing the consumption of Smoke Chemical. Typically, users of water based glycol smoke systems can experience reductions of 80-90% in smoke chemical consumption, for similar if not better smoke densities.

With no routine maintenance required on the ViCount, and a choice of heat exchanger capacities to suit fire training needs, it's no wonder Fire Training Centres throughout the world have selected it as their primary smoke system.

This derivative of the ViCount has been produced to take advantage of the unit's ability to produce a consistent particle size and distribution, across the operating pressure range, for the purpose of challenging HEPA filters to BS 5295.
